Global PTM Delivers One Of The Largest Oracle Enterprise Asset Management Fleet Implementations
203 National Express Corp. Bus Repair Shops Are Live
Greenville, South Carolina (Marketwired) - Global PTM, an industry leader in Maintenance Operational Improvement (MOI) solutions with focused knowledge on Oracle Enterprise Asset Management implementations, recently completed deploying Oracle Enterprise Asset Management solutions at 203 bus service centers for National Express Corp., the North American subsidiary of National Express Group. National Express Corp. manages approximately 21,000 school buses in the U.S. and Canada, making it one of the largest fleet users of Oracle Enterprise Asset Management.
Global PTM, a subsidiary of VIZIYA Corporation, is a Gold-level member in Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN) providing implementation and consulting services. It helped National Express to replace standalone legacy fleet management systems with an Oracle Enterprise Asset Management solution, extending the value of its existing Oracle E-Business Suite investment. Key services included:
• Converting the data
• Integrating Oracle Enterprise Asset Management with a trip inspection and mileage tracking system
• Integrating Oracle Enterprise Asset Management with the VIZIYA WorkAlign Analytics and Warranty Tracker products
• Personalizing and simplifying screens to improve business processes
• Delivering three-tiered training: hands-on, Web-based, and refresher documents and videos
• Completing a pilot implementation and phased rollout by region
• Involving end users in the system design and training to instill ownership
"We chose Global PTM because it was the only company to challenge us to consider alternative implementation approaches to reduce our costs and risks," said Tim Hopps, Vice President of Group Direct Purchasing for National Express.
"We benefited from Global PTM's flexible Solution Delivery Process methodology, which was tailored to our culture and needs. We now have the capability for a 360-degree view of each asset's maintenance costs year over year, and we anticipate recovering substantial warranty dollars. By optimizing whole life costs down to the component level, this allows us to negotiate better supplier and service contracts," added Hopps.
"The new system gives National Express cradle-to-grave visibility into the entire asset lifecycle, allowing them to make better repair, replace and sell decisions. It also allows them to eliminate redundant data entry," said Prag Ratra, senior consultant and technical project manager for Global PTM.
In addition to completing the Oracle Enterprise Asset Management rollout at the new sites, Global PTM continues to support the implementation of VIZIYA's WorkAlign Analytics and Warranty Tracker products, which extend the benefits of the transportation provider's Oracle Business Intelligence Suite Enterprise Edition solution.
