Getac Technology Corporation : Getac Shipping F110 Rugged Tablet

Getac Inc., a manufacturer of rugged computers, recently announced it has begun shipping its new F110 rugged tablet, a thin and light large-screen rugged tablet.

According to a release on December 13, the company says that pre- orders of the new rugged tablet is the most of any product Getac has ever introduced and production has been ramped-up to meet the high demand.

"We are very excited about the response we have received from customers about our new F110 rugged tablet," explains Rowina Lee, president, Getac. "The pre-orders we have received reaffirm our belief that thinner and lighter mobile devices are what our customers need to be effective and efficient in their tasks. We will continue to listen to customer needs as we develop products and services in the future."

The company reported that the Getac F110 is a large-screen rugged tablet that packs performance and a large 11.6-inch display in a compact design. Measuring less than 1 inch in thickness, 12 x 8 inches in overall size and weighing 3 pounds, the F110 is a light large-screen, fully rugged tablet.

Additionally, it incorporates the latest fourth generation Intel Core i5-4300U (1.9GHz) or i7-4600U (2.1GHz) processors featuring Intel Turbo Boost Technology clocking maximum speeds up to 2.9GHz and 3.3GHz. The F110 also features dual hot-swappable batteries allowing for endless power by simply "swapping" in a fresh battery without needing to shut down applications or the operating system.
