Extended Systems Launches OneBridge Mobile Sales

Extended Systems (Nasdaq: XTND), a leading provider of mobile application solutions for the enterprise, announced today the release of OneBridge Mobile Sales. OneBridge Mobile Sales is a packaged mobile sales application designed specifically for how the mobile user works. The product includes pre-defined modules such as contacts, opportunities, reporting and forecast and integrates with virtually any back-end application, including popular CRM systems such as Siebel, SAP, SalesLogix and custom legacy systems. OneBridge Mobile Sales provides field representatives with easy access to mission-critical data on handheld devices, leading to improved field effectiveness and increased adoption rates of existing CRM systems.

OneBridge Mobile Sales is available for both Pocket PC and Palm devices and supports multiple connectivity methods to back-end systems. Field sales professionals can use OneBridge Mobile Sales seamlessly in and out of wireless coverage areas. In addition, the product is customizable so developers can implement custom business processes on top of the product's existing framework.

"We listened to our customers when we developed this next-generation mobile sales application," said Mark Willnerd, vice president of business development at Extended Systems. "We designed the product with the mobile user work flow in mind, optimizing features that promote ease-of-use, with a specific focus on field reporting. Furthermore, it allows corporations to preserve their CRM investments and legacy applications while getting started with mobility for a low total cost of ownership."

Additional features of OneBridge Mobile Sales include:

  • Device management capabilities for IT departments which reduce on-going support costs.
  • Both offline and instant ("always-on") access to e-mail and PIM (personal information management) as well as line of business data.
  • Unmatched ease of data collection and detail reporting with configurable "textblocks" – promoting truly paperless processes.

"From applications to back-end integration, Extended Systems continues to deliver solutions that accelerate the mobilization of enterprise applications in virtually any environment," said Charles Jepson, president and CEO at Extended Systems.
