Weighing the pros and cons of iOS, Android, and Windows.

Today’s mobile market is not easy to navigate and not made any easier by the many differences that blanket the mobile operating system (OS) landscape. We will discuss a few of the major differences below, in the context of pros and cons.

Apple iOS
One major pro of the Apple iOS is the uniform mobile user experience (UX). Phone hardware choices are somewhat “limited,” and yet this “limitation” allows Apple to provide an almost uniform UX across all supported hardware. Management can rest assured that what they see is what they get among all Apple mobile devices. Such consistency allows efficient deployment and simplified mobile device management. With minimal variance in device types, hardware costs are easily forecastable, and complications with managing apps across devices are substantially minimized. In addition, every single app in the Apple App Store is curated and approved by Apple, which limits the risk of unintentional rogueware installations. Managers in turn enjoy this inherent higher level of security. Apple iOS also integrates well with email platforms such as Microsoft Exchange and Gmail.
