So, you’ve made the decision to invest in a mobile workforce management solution. Now, how do you ensure that you’re maximizing the return on that investment, and achieving your goals?

In my previous articles in this series, I talked about the importance of training and incentives to encourage widespread use of mobile apps and management functionality. Now, I’ll focus on why documenting your current costs and processes will help to illustrate how the mobile solution is delivering ROI and where this new technology can be applied for even greater benefits.

One of the keys to getting the most out of your mobile workforce management solution is to ensure that your company’s leaders are unified with regard to the stated objectives for its use. By documenting these details, and defining key metrics, you can ensure that priorities are established and proper expectations are set prior to deployment. We have found that customers quickly see ROI results when they deploy the system with a focus on solving just one or two business problems at first. By doing so, they can give special attention to a specific improvement area and realize early success.  Then, after the initial launch, system usage can be expanded to solve additional business needs, drive new improvements and further increase the value of their investment.
