SAP certifies full compatibility of Blue Vector's network appliances with latest version of SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure

Palo Alto, Calif. — October 30, 2007 — Blue Vector Systems, a leading provider of RFID and sensor network infrastructure, today announced that its intelligent networking appliances are certified by the SAP Integration and Certification Center for integration with SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure.

Blue Vector's automation platform allows companies to use a variety of sensors to enhance their existing enterprise systems such as SAP by automatically observing and immediately reacting to the movement and condition of items in their supply chain. Blue Vector retrieves and utilizes information from SAP such as customer orders and shipping manifests so that enforcement and confirmation can occur in real-time as shipments are loaded or items are moved. Mistakes can then be immediately detected and corrected via instructional displays and alarms. This is of tremendous value to companies as they seek to make their customer-facing supply chain operations as reliable and accurate as their automated internal processes.

"Many of our customers rely on SAP solutions to run their businesses," said Nancy Anderson, CEO of Blue Vector. "Blue Vector is helping these organizations achieve a strong return on investment by extending the reach of their business rules down to the operational level and reacting immediately to issues as they occur in the supply chain. Our goal is to be the fastest and easiest way for SAP customers to deploy advanced technologies like RFID so that sensor data can be used in real-time to enable new levels of efficiency and improved service to their customers."

Blue Vector's technology is unique in its truly distributed approach to sensor networking. Although centrally managed, Blue Vector's system is designed to automate thousands of operations simultaneously. Since each process executes independently, the system insures that peak levels of activity in any part of the system do not affect the performance of others. It is also much less dependent on network availability than centralized approaches, and makes it practical to use lower speed conventional or cellular data networks to extend supply chain sensing to locations such as customer sites and moving vehicles.
