Access Motorsports is an IndyCar Racing team, owned and lead by Indy 500 top-ten finisher, Greg Ray, that uses mobile computers to stay competitive before, during and after the race. The mobile computers are used by the crew to analyze and monitor the racecar's performance. So, Access Motorsports chose Panasonic Toughbooks®, the industry's most rugged and reliable computers. Ray explains, "We do not have time for a failure. We want to surround ourselves with best equipment and when it came to a [mobile computer] choice, Panasonic Toughbooks were the only choice."
The Challenge
- Provide a solution that can survive in harsh environmental conditions.
- Improve pit lane processes by reducing failures from bumps and drops.
- Allow better race performance analysis to stay on the edge.
