The ultra-rugged Archer now is configurable in 16 different languages and features up to 128 MB of memory and 512 MB of internal data storage. The Archer runs Microsoft® Windows Mobile® version 5.0 and is powered by the Intel XScale 520Mhz processor. Durability in extreme environments makes the Archer the premier choice for those in need of a pocket-sized field PC for rugged applications. The Archer Field PC is now FM approved Class I Div 2 certified for use in hazardous conditions. The non-incendive Archer can be used safely where explosive gases or liquids may be present: refineries, chemical plants, gas or oil pipelines, compressor and pump stations, oil field production facilities, and other sites.
The ultra-rugged Archer Field PC meets IP67 and Mil-Std-810F standards for drop, vibration, immersion, humidity, and operating temperatures. The Archer case is made of sturdy, lightweight magnesium and features an easy-to-grip over-molding, available in high-visibility orange or subdued gray. A vibrant color display and large, backlit keys are optimized for outdoor use. The rechargeable Li-Ion battery operates for more than 20 hours on one charge and recharges in 5 hours or less, while a smart battery displays charge status. The Power Dock has space for a spare battery to power up after the Archer's charge is complete. A travel charger is available for charging spare batteries on the go.
The Archer's versatility is enhanced by using peripheral SD and CF cards with an Archer extended cap. Extended caps accommodate a GPS receiver,bar code scanner, RFID, cellular modem, WiFi, or data storage card while maintaining the rugged integrity of the Archer. Simply plug the cards in and attach the appropriate extended cap; enhanced capabilities are then available in a fully integrated, sealed package. Integrated Bluetooth® wireless technology is available as an option.
Microsoft Windows Mobile powers more than 18,000 applications. The Archer includes Microsoft Excel Mobile, PowerPoint Mobile, Word Mobile, Outlook Mobile, Internet Explorer Mobile, and ActiveSync for the desktop PC. These programs deliver improved productivity by allowing seamless synchronization of files, tasks, and appointments with an office PC. Now that the Archer offers 16 languages to select from, the powerful Windows Mobile becomes even more accessible to people around the world.
