AMobile Wins Good Design Award 2017

G60 Mobile Inspection Assistant Showcasing at Tokyo Midtown

AMobile Intelligent Corp., a joint venture by MediaTek, Arbor, and Konka Group, an expert in industrial mobile computers, has been recognized for its excellent design in Good Design Award 2017. The awarded product is the Mobile Inspection Assistant G60, the world's first handheld device integrated with a thermal imager, push-to-talk radio, smartphone, and professional camera for industrial inspections. It will be showcased at Good Design Exhibition 2017 in Tokyo Midtown from Nov. 1st to 5th.

The winning AMobile G60 was selected among over 4,495 submissions from 17 countries which determined based on a rigorous five-month screening process conducted by the 82 members of an international judging committee. The winners from Asia are designs for not just things but ideas which is a fascinating trend. "For G60, although it is a multifunctional industrial product, it is distinguished from the former large capacity specialized mobile device in that it is lightweight and small capacity, and the grip feeling and ease of use have been improved. There is also a special protection design for data confidentiality and water and earthquake resistance." comment by the judges.

The G60 is the world’s first Mobile Inspection Assistant with a ruggedized, compact, and lightweight design for field workers. It integrates a professional camera, thermal sensors, and radio into a 4G industrial hand-held computer. Also, its optional accessories include a high-speed and long-range barcode scanner, a UHF reader, and a laser distance meter for expanded data collectivity and analytics functionality.
