AMobile Handheld Data Collector Gained Red Dot Award: Product Design 2018

AMobile Intelligent Corp. Ltd., a joint venture by Arbor, MediaTek, and Konka group, is an expert in industrial mobile computers and solutions, has been recognized for its excellent design and technical innovation in the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2018. The awarded product is the Handheld Data Collector GT-500U, enabling a smart UHF RFID scanning.

The winning AMobile GT-500U was selected among over thousands of entries from 59 countries which were assessed individually by an independent and international jury of experts. "There are four aspects which characterize outstanding design. They can be used to determine whether it meets high-quality standards. In addition to the primary quality of use, the qualities of ‘function’, ‘seduction’ and ‘responsibility’ play a decisive role in the development and assessment of good design." says Professor Dr. Peter Zec, founder and CEO of the Red Dot Award.

GT-500U is an innovative upright handheld data collector for UHF scanning either stationary targets by holding it in hand or moving objects through fixing it on a horizontal surface, as well as recording video at the same time to backup files for industrial applications such as production line monitoring, inventory management, electrical inspection, and livestock management. It is space-saving, good aesthetics, and designed with customized docking bases for consumer cell phones and AMobile mobile devices including PD-450,GT-500, and G60 to adapt to various applications.
