Agilis Systems Raises $5 Million to Fund Growth

April 30, 2008 — Agilis Systems, a rapidly growing St. Louis-based software provider and recipient of Frost and Sullivan's 2008 Product Innovation Award, has secured $5 million in second-round funding led by a group of St. Louis -based investors. The new funding is a clear sign of the potential of Agilis' mobile application suite and will help fund the company's aggressive 2008 expansion.

Agilis Systems, founded in 2004, has seen explosive growth since its inception with year-over-year revenue growth of 250% for each of the last three years. The company will use the new funds to aggressively expand its sales and marketing activities to position itself for even more aggressive growth. The growth and potential at Agilis Systems is attributable to the convergence of several key factors — the extension of Internet and IP technologies to mobile phones, the growing ubiquity of GPS tracking services and the aggressive price decreases for mobile data plans and mobile phones. Through its technology, Agilis is uniquely positioned to help companies take advantage of these trends to reduce operating costs for mobile workers.

The Agilis mobile application suite allows companies to monitor and track the activities of mobile workers, vehicles and other physical assets using GPS tracking and mobile devices. In addition, the suite allows users to create mobile work orders, generate custom electronic forms and capture photos, signatures and bar codes, thereby boosting the productivity of their mobile workforce. Customers include Schnucks Markets, Hertz, Covidien Healthcare, Laclede Gas and The Chicago Tribune to name a few.
