Seeking to ensure accurate inventory visibility and speedy replenishment, Ace launched its EagleVision technology initiative in conjunction with technology partner, Activant Solutions, Inc. One of Ace's roles in EagleVision is the Centralized Inventory Management (CIM) initiative to improve communication between its headquarters, stores and warehouses. For fast, reliable and secure inventory and sales data transmission, Ace deployed a Virtual Private Network (VPN) based on SonicWALL integrated Internet security solutions.
With a real-time VPN connection, Ace Hardware maintains a near real-time feed of data for a complete view of sales and inventory status to ensure it is meeting customer demand.
