Since President Obama announced a $3.4 billion stimulus package for Smart Grid efforts in late 2009, the topic has become a widely covered news item. You've likely heard the term Smart Grid and have probably read about the stimulus package, but do you know what it all really means? Or how it might have an impact on your business? Recently, I spoke with a handful of experts in the M2M (machine-to-machine) industry to discuss the definition of the Smart Grid, how quickly we can expect Smart Grid initiatives to be adopted, and the implications of Smart Grid on M2M players and utilities companies.
