Tech Update: Take Charge With MDM

The increasing popularity of mobile devices has created a number of challenges for information technology departments. While desktop systems are generally easy to track, manage, and maintain and in most cases use some flavor of the Windows operating system, mobile devices present a variety of headaches for the IT staff. The devices are small and easy to lose, staff may be using a mix of personal and companyowned hardware in the field, and companies have deployed a wide variety of devices across applications that may include a mix of ruggedized computers, laptops, and smartphones, all using different operating systems.
