When Chivas Brothers set out to implement a realtime traceability solution at its production facilities in Scotland, the company had one key requirement: Any new solution could not slow down existing work processes, which were designed to maximize throughput at its bottling plants. The company needed to replace a legacy warehouse management system (WMS) at its bottling plant in Paisley, as well as implement the same solution at its former facility in Newbridge, Edinburgh, in order to streamline warehouse activities.
