GIS solutions provide geographic information that can help companies make more informed decisions in a number of applications. Increasingly, field service companies and other organizations with remote assets or employees are relying on these map-based solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.

GIS solutions combine mapping technology with databases to allow end users to analyze demographic data, topography, and other information by location. Because of the availability of lower-cost mobile devices with on-board GPS capabilities, field service, logistics, and other organizations now have the ability to leverage mapping and location data in ways that were previously not possible.
