What Role Does Gamification Play In Field Service?

More companies have turned to game-like systems for training and to improve productivity. Can this work in field service?

Gaming is no longer just the de facto hobby of idle teenagers. As technology has crept into more and more facets of our everyday lives, gaming apps are everywhere: on your spouse’s phone, on your home computer, and all over your Facebook feed, whether you want them there or not.

While it’s true that games like Candy Crush or Angry Birds can be a distraction in the workplace, a number of companies have turned to gaming technology to actually improve productivity and employee engagement. Gamification, as it’s called, has even spread to line-of-business activities like field service.
