New Report Finds That 82% Of Field Service Organizations Place Mobility As A Strategic Initiative In 2015

A newly published study from AberdeenGroup has found that the best-performing field service organizations are extremely focused on leveraging mobility solutions to empower workers. Mobility solutions provide field workers with the real-time intelligence needed to make decisions and resolve customer issues. As a result, companies using these solutions are achieving higher first-time case resolution and improved levels of customer satisfaction.

Trimble Field Service Management (FSM) partnered with Aberdeen to produce the independent research report, Empowering the Mobile Worker with Real-Time Insight and Data Integration. Written by senior analyst Aly Pinder, the findings reveal that best-in-class field service organizations recognize that their technicians need access to accurate and up-to-date information to deliver exceptional customer service, and hence have heavily invested in mobile tools.

Field service organizations must ensure that their field workers leverage the mobile tools and apps that they have invested in. The findings also revealed that 61 percent of best-in-class field service organizations are more likely than their peers to have the ability to monitor the use of mobile apps by the field team. In addition, these companies achieve nearly 5 times higher first-time fix rates as a result of their mobile deployment.
