Key Patents Issued For Danal's Mobile Identity Solutions

Danal Patents Cover Enterprise Engagement and Processes for Filling out Forms on a Mobile Device and Support of Online Enterprises in Managing Digital Authentication Credentials

San Jose, CA (Marketwired) - Danal, Inc., a global leader in mobile identity and authentication solutions, today announced that it has been granted two key patents in the area of mobile identity. One patent includes scenarios where consumers are engaged on a mobile device and their name, address and other information is pre-filled into a form (with consent) while they are going through various merchants' registration, account origination and/or guest checkout flows. The second patent enables definition and management of consumers' digital authentication credentials in order to determine if the digital credential is still valid for an identified device.

"We are pleased to announce that these initial Danal patents were issued," commented Jim Greenwell, the company's President & CEO. "Danal is positioned to be the leader in identifying mobile devices and associated account information in a way that is safe and helpful to the consumer."

Danal launched its Mobile Identity services in 2014. Today, Danal is trusted by top-tier US and EU mobile network operators (MNO) to directly access mobile device, network location and subscriber account data, which Danal then combines with other authoritative data, in order to serve Danal enterprise clients, including Fortune 500 financial institutions and mCommerce brands. The company assists these clients with fraud prevention and risk mitigation, as well as meeting "Know Your Customer" and TCPA compliance requirements. Utilizing the real-time data, Danal also offers consent-driven consumer convenience services such as auto form-filling for account origination and guest check-out on input-constrained mobile screens.

"Danal makes it possible to provide genuine customers a TSA-Pre like form fill experience any time they fill out a registration or purchase form. Once you can trust a mobile device, and the consumer behind that device using authentic data from MNOs, fraudsters can't synthesize false identities," said Paris Leung, Chief Strategy Officer & GM at Danal.

Mobile identity and authentication services that include real-time interaction with the mobile operator's network are impactful and have proven far more effective than traditional fraud management and government compliance offerings. "The data is authentic because it is obtained directly from the carrier network and not from the mobile device which can be spoofed or from static databases that can become stale over time," said Ritesh Jain, VP of Product and Operations at Danal. MNOs already have a trusted relationship with their subscribers and possess the most up-to-date information on account ownership and device identifiers. With Danal's offering, the addition of cost effectively accessing authentic operator data in real-time has recently emerged as a new, more effective option for enterprises to gain confidence that online customers are who they say they are or that the right consumer is being reached during a customer contact event.
