Integrated GPS: A Smart Business Strategy

Choosing a telematics system has never been more complex. While the only question used to be, “What can the solution do?” — today’s fleet manager also has to worry about whether the solution integrates with their other business systems. While that may seem like an easy question to answer, these other systems, which include ERP (enterprise resource planning), fleet maintenance, fuel cards, logistics optimization, and scheduling and dispatching solutions, are becoming more robust and require a telematics solution that can keep up.

Why should your GPS system talk to your software? The answer is simple. Knowing where your techs are is only half of the story. You need to combine real-time GPS information with your order information to run like the ultimate service machine.
