Formotus FormoPublish Delivers Strong Workflow Management For SharePoint Users

Formotus, Inc., provider of mobile business data software + services, recently announced that FormoPublish now delivers strong mobile workflow management in conjunction with Microsoft SharePoint Server. FormoPublish is the only solution that works out-of-the-box with SharePoint Server and enables non-technical workers to click-and-deploy mobile business applications to Windows Mobile devices without writing a single line of code. The latest edition of FormoPublish adds automatic workflow and version management when used in conjunction with SharePoint Server.

"Mobile workers don't want to wade through data in the field, but rather quickly click to find desired information," said Adriana Neagu, Formotus Co-founder/CTO. "With this in mind, we've designed FormoPublish to optimize a user's ability to quickly access, update and share data gathered in the field. Formotus' strong support for SharePoint is setting a workflow precedent among businesses with mobile work teams in all vertical industries, including government, manufacturing, healthcare and others."

In the latest FormoPublish upgrade, users will be empowered to open SharePoint files directly from their Windows Mobile phones using FormoPublish applications. This new offering places searchable corporate data at the fingertips of mobile workers, further maximizing individual and work team productivity, efficiency, and collaboration. For example, a visiting nurse can select a FormoPublish data application and view a list of corresponding patient files, sorted by last name. Once the nurse selects a file from that list, the patient's data is sent over-the-air (OTA) to the worker, populating the FormoPublish application on his or her Windows Mobile phone. The nurse can then edit and save new data to the patient's file directly to SharePoint. This feature further streamlines a worker's ability to access critical data in the field as well as share accurate and timely information with team members.

"In the field, mobile workers need to have access to important information like client data on a company SharePoint site," said Samir Kumar, group product planner for Microsoft's Mobile Communications Business. "The flexibility of Windows Mobile coupled with the latest offering from Formotus enables people to be productive on the go by giving them the ability to remotely view and share critical information with their teams."

FormoPublish enables small- and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) and enterprises to leverage the flexibility of Windows Mobile phones by providing mobile application software to workers who need to seamlessly access business systems from the road. FormoPublish applications provide businesses with unprecedented online and offline business data access, powerful features for mobile data entry and easy integration with backend data systems. By transferring mobile application creation from busy IT departments to non-technical workers, organizations can maximize company resources, increase efficiency and speed deployment.

Formotus will be demonstrating FormoPublish at CTIA 2008 in Las Vegas, Nevada April 1-3, 2008 as a co-exhibitor/partner in Microsoft's booth #1515.
