Certification For SureCall Flex2Go Vehicle Booster; Other Models Also Nearing OK, Says CEO

SureCall, formerly Cellphone-Mate, a leading maker of cell phone signal boosters, announced recently that its Flex2Go cellular booster kit for vehicles has been certified by the FCC under the commission’s new regulatory and technical standards. Flex2Go is the company’s first product to receive this FCC certification.

Hongtao Zhan, SureCall’s CEO and founder, said, “This is good news for our company and our customers, and we look forward to a similarly smooth certification process with the other boosters we now have at the FCC.”

Flex2Go provides enhanced 2G and 3G voice and data cell reception, for all major U.S. carriers, and is the only booster reconfigurable for use in vehicles of all sizes. Zhan said that he expects the newly certified Flex2Go to begin shipping by the end of March and will carry a suggested retail price of $329.99. The FCC certification of Flex2Go comes on the heels of the commission’s order earlier this month which extended the deadline for when consumer signal boosters sold in the U.S. must meet new standards. The new deadline is April 30, 2014. According to Zhan, SureCall currently has a dozen models in the certification process at FCC, all of which are expected to receive certification by the new deadline.
