Remote monitoring provides a cost-effective way to gather timely data for this oil and gas well optimization provider.

Oil and gas field operators face a significant challenge when it comes to managing their equipment and other assets. These fields are usually remote and widely dispersed, so monitoring and maintaining equipment at the sites can be time-consuming and costly. Operators often have to drive to each site to collect data and adjust equipment.

This is where machine-to-machine (M2M) communication and the Internet of Things (IoT) come in to help improve operational efficiency. Telemetry-based remote monitoring systems can help ease the burden of regular site visits by providing remote data and alerts on the status of equipment and by enabling continuous equipment performance tracking from any remote site. However, the flip side is that telemetry systems can be complicated to install and maintain.
