Sure-Fire, Inc. Reduces Speeding By Up To 45 Percent With NexTraq Fleet Tracking

Residential and commercial HVAC and electrical company uses Posted Speed Alerts to monitor driver safety and establish incentive program

NexTraq, the value leader of GPS fleet tracking and vehicle management solutions, announced recently that its client, Sure-Fire, Inc. has improved driver safety by dramatically reducing speeding fleet-wide with the Posted Speed Alert functionality within the NexTraq Fleet Tracking platform. Additionally, Sure-Fire was able to decrease fuel costs by monitoring excessive idling with the Idle Report.

Casey Malesevich, Risk Manager for Sure-Fire, Inc., said, “With the Posted Speed Alert functionality, as a company we have seen a 30 percent decrease in speeds more than 10 mph over the legal limit. Additionally, we have seen a 45 percent drop in speeding more than 15 mph over the posted speed.”

He adds that the instant email alerts allow him to address important issues, like severe speeding, or personal use of company vehicles, as they happen. Drivers, in turn, are more aware of their speeds because they know management is tracking it.  Additionally, Malesevich cites the Idle Report as effective for reducing fuel costs across the fleet by taking steps to reduce unnecessary idling.

Additionally, Malesevich selected the NexTraq Fleet Tracking platform due to its ease-of-use, affordability and also NexTraq’s willingness to provide a seamless integration. Malesevich said, “The day our old contract expired the NexTraq installation team arrived to outfit our vehicles with the new tracking devices. They worked around our schedule on several different days to ensure we had no disruption of service as we are dependent on GPS fleet tracking technology to monitor our fleet operations.”

Mike Scarbrough, CEO of NexTraq, said, “One of the most pressing issues for our customers today is driver safety. With our Posted Speed Alert functionality, clients can monitor excessive speeding and take proactive means to stop it. An increasing amount of legislation surrounding safe driving will continue to make this a top priority for service businesses with commercial fleets.”

In business for more than 65 years, it’s clear that Sure-Fire will continue to succeed by providing superior service by employing NATE-certified technicians and its participation in the Lennox Premier Dealer Program.
