Prepare For BYOD With Rugged Tablets

"Bring your own device" (BYOD) programs for businesses are increasing across the nation, and for some companies, the trend could raise security and data protection issues. According to CBS affiliate WFOR, 38 percent of companies are planning to move toward a BYOD program by 2016, which means more businesses will have to contend with workers' use of personal devices.

While some companies are already instituting BYOD programs to save money on equipment, the ability to secure data diminishes as soon as employees take their work tablets home. BYOD programs could also increase the risk of leaking their office network security system the second a worker logs into another network outside of work.
