ARI To Offer Free Webcast Series On The ELD Mandate & Available Technology Solutions

Two-part series discusses how the ELD mandate will affect fleets and the telematics solutions available

ARI, a leading global fleet services provider specializing in complex car and truck fleets, announced recently the company will present a two-part webinar series on the electronic logging device (ELD) mandate from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). “The ELD Mandate – What You Need to Know to Be Prepared,” will discuss the specifics of the ELD mandate and the telematics technology options available to fleets today.

In part one of the webinar series, “The Specifics,” Jason Rudinoff, regulatory compliance analyst and safety specialist, will address the specifics of the ELD mandate including who is affected and why it’s beneficial to prepare sooner rather than later. The first 30-minute webinar will be held on Tuesday, November 1 at 11:00 am and 2:00 pm EDT.

“Many fleets may find government regulations complicated or believe they are not affected by this new mandate,” commented Rudinoff. “However, the FMCSA has outlined the vehicle and driver segment that will be affected quite clearly. In part one we’ll dissect what exactly the government is looking for and who is affected.”

In part two, “The Technology,” Frank Daccardi, telematics solutions architect, will provide real world insight into how technology and the new mandate will affect administrators and drivers. Attendees will discover why there are no telematics solutions that are truly compliant available on the market today, how this new technology affects drivers and administrators, and the spillover benefits telematics can bring to fleets. This second 30-minute webinar is scheduled for Tuesday, December 6 at 11:00 am and 2:00 pm EST.

“While telematics solutions will make electronic logging simpler for drivers and administrators to track, what fleet managers do with this data is important,” stated Daccardi. “In part two, we’ll look at what the administrative impact of telematics data means to both drivers and fleet managers, and what next steps can look like.”
