Arbor Solution recently announces the introduction of the Gladius G0975 to its line of rugged tablets. The unit is ideal for mobile applications – such as field service, transportation, mobile point of sale (mPOS) and logistics work involving forklift – where multiple connectivity options are desired. Featuring a generous 9.7” XGA TFT color LCD with projected-capacitive touchscreen, the unit is available in both standard and sunlight-viewing versions.

The Gladius G0975 rugged tablet PC features a generous 9.7” XGA TFT color LCD with five-point Multi¬Touch projected capacitive touchscreen display using the exceptionally thin Corning Gorilla Glass that enables more sensitivity and accurate touch response. Additional features include:

• Intel Quad Core Celeron N2930 processor for high-computing performance
• Intel HD graphics
• Support for Linux, as well as Windows 7, Windows 8 and their embedded versions
• Internal and external Lithium-Ion battery packs that provide hot-swap functionality
• 2GB of standard memory; up to 8GB is optional
• 32 GB of mSATA Storage is standard; up to 512 GB is optional
• Options for 3G LTE, integrated 1D/2D barcode scanner, and integrated magnetic-stripe reader

Other features include time-saving keys for ‘home’ and four customer programmable function keys; 5MP rear CMOS camera with auto focus and light supplement; integrated microphone; accelerometer, magnetometer, gyroscope, and light sensors; and a docking port. System security is provided by use of an encrypted drive or enterprise drive or via a wide variety of third party Windows software solutions.
