RSSPsion Teklogix Appoints New Vice President Of Marketing

Psion Teklogix (LSE: PON), a global provider of solutions for mobile computing, wireless data collection, imaging and RFID, is pleased to announce the appointment of Ron Caines to the position of vice president, Marketing, Psion Teklogix. In his new role, Mr. Caines will lead and manage Psion Teklogix global product strategy and the development of its corporate marketing initiatives.
"Mr. Caines comes to Psion Teklogix with a wealth of industry knowledge along with extensive sales and marketing experience in all of our major markets around the world," said Alistair Crawford, chief executive officer, Psion Teklogix Inc. Mr. Caines brings over 22 years of executive-level experience in sales, marketing, business development and general management. Most recently, Mr. Caines served as Psion Teklogix vice president, imaging, following the acquisition of Symagery Microsystems Inc. by Psion Teklogix in June 2005. Prior to the acquisition, Mr. Caines served as president and CEO of Symagery Microsystems, a leading independent provider of bar code reader systems for the automatic identification and data capture industry.
Before that, Mr. Caines was president of RecruitCheck Incorporated, a company specializing in data acquisition and distribution, and served as vice president of worldwide sales for Verilink Corporation. Mr. Caines also held several senior management positions at Intermec Technologies Corporation, a global provider of AIDC products for supply chain systems, including general manager for Intermec's Canadian operations and vice-president of Asia and Pacific Rim sales and global sales support.
