Thompson Biscuit Company was in search of lightweight, rugged mobile computers to enable account representatives to efficiently and accurately process customer orders, receipts, invoices and inventory. The solution comprises mobile computers that sales reps can easily transport to customer stores via the company's fleet of 15 trucks and input information on the spot.
Thompson Biscuit turned to Baus Systems, a route accounting and distribution systems provider, for a solution. The snack food distributor wanted lightweight and rugged mobile computers that sales reps could easily transport to customer stores via the company's fleet of 15 trucks.
A value-added reseller for Honeywell, Baus Systems introduced Thompson Biscuit to the Honeywell Dolphin Mobile Computers. The Dolphins proved to be an ideal solution: compact with a rugged design and long service life. In July 2003, Thompson Biscuit purchased nearly three dozen of the Dolphin 7400 Mobile Computers.
